1938 Chalkboard Plea

Three Oaks, Michigan, June 18, 1938
"Dear public"????!!!!
Why do We the old students of Spring Creek school have to stand around and see
our old place of book learning going to wreck and ruin? Why
are the doors left open so that the building is left for sleeping rooms for any
old "tramp"? Don't you realize how much we value our old
school? Say we think it's the grandest old place any one could spend eight
years of book learning! grand times, picnics, fights with schoolmats
(sic) and teachers. Everything, all locked back in our trunk of memories.
Never to forget!! Please think of this old building as we do, cherish
it's memory and meaning. Why must it be a public argument? I hope after
reading our little "plea" you'll feel as I and others do.
Thanks. Just an old Student
Thanks to our Teachers
