Minutes from the September 2010 meeting were
reviewed and approved as presented.
Old
Business:
·
Rita Hagenow spoke to the Council about a
new church sign. There is a problem with
the sign from Kemp’s and that issue needs further investigation. Jerry Wallace agreed to check on the signage
at his business to see what is needed for St. Peter Church. There will be a report at the next Pastoral
Council meeting.
·
Eagle Scout project has been delayed. Stephen Mills plans to attend the Nov. 4
meeting to discuss the project in more detail.
·
Work and research on the history book project
will continue and it is anticipated that it will be published sometime in late 2012
or early 2013 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of
St. Peter parish. Norma Schultz will
continue her work on this project.
·
Discernment process was reported on by Ron
Gigliotti. Three Council members, Ron
Gigliotti, Ruth Livergood and Dave Porter spoke at the Masses the weekend of
Oct. 2nd and 3rd.
Nomination ballots were placed in the pews that weekend and the
following weekend. Ruth Livergood volunteered
to call those persons who were nominated by our parishioners. Discernment will take place on Saturday, Oct.
23 in the basement of our
New
Business:
·
Glen
Minich agreed to lead a project to remove all of the stones from the memorial
garden and replace them with mulch.
Volunteers are needed to help with this project on Oct. 16th.
·
A cook
book project was discussed and Ruth Livergood agreed to look into the matter.
·
There
are plans to have a pot luck supper in early November after the 5 PM mass. Ruth Livergood, Joan Hensell and Nancy Hannon
will coordinate the plans for the supper.
·
The
Pastoral Council Christmas party will take place either the first or second
weekend of December. Time and place to
be announced.
·
There
were no committee reports.
